Gay-owned and operated, the Vibe Lounge fills the void left behind previous dive-bar Cables Reef. The remodeling turned the bar into a swanky lounge for the upscale LGBT crowd. Lots of room to dance or simply feel the, well, vibes. Available for events and private parties.

Worth a shot for sure

I've been to this place a few times so far. Definitely a good place for the grown-and-sexy crowd. Nice vibe (no pun intended... ok maybe a little ;o) ) and comfy lounge chairs downstairs. The music is good and my friends and I always have a good time here. Plus, it's women-owned.

Surprise to see that Cable's is still up and running; my previous visits to Oakland always included a night at Cable's; man the men are sexy and friendly and the music is good.
