This month's party is a fundraiser for Oakland International Women's Day Festival: a FREE, one-day festival that will provide a safe space for community groups and individuals to educate attendees on issues related to power and survival for women, womyn, girls, people of color, trans and queer folk or anyone who identifies on that spectrum.
Their hope is to bring broader attention to the way violence affects women using local and social media. thus reaching an even wider audience and instigating further positive change.
