Managing Jealousy in Open Relationships led by Kathy Labriola Jealousy is often a stumbling block for people in open relationships. Choosing a relationship that is not sexually or romantically exclusive can trigger intense jealousy even in the most secure, independent person, and even in the most stable and healthy relationships. Don't despair, it's perfectly natural to feel threatened by your partner sharing sexuality, romance, and/or love with someone else. This workshop deconstructs jealousy to help you understand what and why certain situations and people prompt such distress, and will give you some practical tools to manage your jealousy and reduce it significantly. A few of the topics covered are: "Know your Jealousy Pie Chart: Managing the Fear, Anger, and Sadness of Jealousy," "Understanding the Difference between Jealousy, Coveting, and Envy," "What is Compersion and can it be cultivated?" Brief Biography Kathy Labriola is a nurse, counselor, and hypnotherapist in private practice in Berkeley, California. Her mission is providing affordable mental health services to alternative communities. She has been a card-carrying bisexual and polyamorist for 40 years. She is political activist and community organizer. She lives in a housing co-op and raises chickens and organic vegetables.
