Our neighborhood attracts visitors from all over the Bay Area to enjoy our arts, nightlife, food, and cultural scene amidst historical buildings, but our Uptown Oakland residents and businesses are what really make the neighborhood special.
During National Night Out, let's celebrate our community of neighborhood residents and local businesses and use it as an opportunity to build and strengthen ties - an opportunity to showcase our community from within.
We will have local events and activities and are planning a bar crawl. Uptown Oakland residents, businesses, family, friends, and supporters are welcome. We will be sharing new participating businesses every couple of days from now until Aug 5!

ABOUT NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
National Night Out is an annual nationwide event that encourages residents to explore their community and get to know their neighbors as a way to encourage crime prevention and promote community building.
Last year, nearly 35,000 Oakland residents participated in NNO by attending 604 events and parties hosted by neighborhoods across the city. We hope to increase that number this year by throwing an event to celebrate the Uptown Oakland neighborhood.
