The housemates are queer and/or trans people of color who organize for radical/social justice. SOL is wheelchair-accessible and low-fragrance. Nan-Hui Jo (조난희) is a loving single mother, undocumented Korean, and survivor of domestic violence. After fleeing to Korea with her child to escape her abusive partner, she was charged with felony “child abduction.” Following her conviction, Nan-Hui’s sentence was reduced to a misdemeanor and time served She was released, but immediately taken into Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) custody. She has now spent 11+ months incarcerated total, with 2 months in immigration detention, and has not seen her daughter since last July. She faces indefinite detention and/or deportation, which could result inpermanent separation from her daughter.
Nan-Hui Jo has been criminalized because she is an immigrant, a survivor of domestic violence and the fierce protector of her daughter. Support her in her fight for freedom and reunification with her child!
