Scapino’s Revenge 2016 is a modern Commedia dell’arte parody and time-travel farce. The show centers on the character Scapino and his journey through time to become the master of dance, time and theatre. With many of the traditional characters of Commedia being played as real people in a small Italian town, the show has the feeling of an animated musical parody coming to life. With a town election and a journey into the woods, the storyline seamlessly mashes musicals, movies, pop culture and current events into a side splitting exploration of the “true meaning of theatre.”
Performances will be held at The Hub in Vallejo, CA.
