REVOLVE:People's Oakland Pride: Pride + Prejudice Art Exhibit presented by SPECTRUM Queer Media curated by Melorra Green + Melonie Green <3 Marginalized QTPOC artists in the Bay Area, especially those who carry a legacy of resistance, have always been met with a particular push back from within the ranks of the privileged LGBTQ community. Through art - these artivists have created space for a much needed dialogue through their art. Several arts are being selected based upon What is REVOLVE? The REVOLVE: Oakland Pride Creative Arts + Film Fest is a social justice summit with a singular focus: the centering of marginalized TBLGQIA-2S voices and viewpoints from folks of ALL ages, ethnicities, and genders. In addition to a 5k/10k Walk/Run/Roll, Art Exhibits, Film Screenings, A Healing Drumming Circle, Theatrical Performances, Book Readings/Signings and Workshops - we will also kick it off with a queer cruise and finish with a People's Pride celebration + "Queerly Beloved" A Mass Love Commitment Ceremony!
