The Nash is close to UC Berkeley and the downtown Berkeley Bart. It's an old space so don't expect ultra-comfort, but the building has character and can be a fun alternative to more mainstream hotels.

The hotel is a little old, but that gives it it's charm. I love coming home late from a night out to creeking hardwood floors. You can even get a room with shared bathroom if you're a budget traveler. The location is good - 1/2 block from downtown Berkeley BART, right off UC Berkeley campus, 1/2 block from Shattuck which is where the ghetto gourmet section of town begins. And if you want to head to the ever popular bathhouse Steamworks, it's an easy drive or bus trip 1 3/4 miles south on University.
